Torah at YI Sharon
Torah at YI Sharon
YI Sharon offers learning opportunities for all levels and ages.
Each year the shul hosts 4-6 Scholar-in-Residence programs that feature prominent Rabbis, Scholars, and Educators from the Modern Orthodox world.
Mishmash is Young Israel of Sharon's parent-child learning program, including Divrei Torah, refreshments, and raffle prizes. All parents and 1st to 5th grade children are welcome to participate in one on one learning between parents and children.
Each week some of the community rabbis and leaders put together dvrei torah, words of Torah, for the community to enjoy.
Ma'ayan
A women's learning program for women of all ages and who come from a wide range of backgrounds. Ma'ayan provides women with a setting for intensive studey of traditional texts. The program was founded in 1992 by Rabbi Dr. Seth Farber and Debbie Kram. Classes are held in Brighton, Brookline, Newton, and Sharon. For upcoming classes, news, events, and information go to maayan.org.
Young Israel of Sharon is honored to host Rabbi Klapper's Summer Beit Midrash every summer. The Summer Beit Midrash is an intense and exhilarating learning program that allows Fellows to pursue compelling questions with intellectual rigor and ethical integrity in the framework of a warm and challenging Orthodox community, and to experience themselves as active contributors to the halakhic conversation. The Young Israel community is invited to participate in shiurim, classes, each week of the summer.
