MaTaN Mother-daughter Bat Mitzvah
What does becoming Bat Mitzvah mean—a big party? A family or communal celebration?
These are wonderful and important ways to mark this rite of passage, but are they enough? Does a simcha (celebration) alone convey the values, the meaning, the significance of the transition to Jewish womanhood? Would you welcome the opportunity to spend time with your Bat Mitzvah-aged daughter, studying texts and creating and experiencing art together in recognition of her becoming Bat Mitzvah and to prepare her for Jewish adulthood?
