Wednesday, June 17, 2015 • 30 Sivan 5775
8:30 PM - 10:00 PMSpecial Program on the Halakhot and Jewish Ethics of Kidney Donation. Wednesday, June 17 at 8:30 pm in the Shul. Rabbi Joshua Sturm of Renewal will present the halakhot and Torah ethics of Organ Donation. Renewal is an organization that helps facilitate matching those in urgent need of a kidney with those willing and able to donate. Since we have in our own Kehillah someone in urgent need of a kidney, this program is timely and valuable. Renewal is a nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting people suffering from various forms of kidney disease. We are a multi-faceted proactive team that is dedicated to saving lives through kidney donation. Renewal is there for every patient and their family at every stage of the challenging journey towards health, providing many services to both donor and recipient. Special attention and detail is given to the kidney donors' needs. They strive to make the kidney donors' experience as smooth as possible and provide continuous support and guidance from the initial phone call throughout the kidney donation process.

Community Support Liaison, JF&CS
Hi, my name is Talia and I am a social worker from JF&CS, as well as a member here at Young Israel of Sharon. In my JF&CS role as Community Support Liaison, I work with synagogues to help connect their members with resources for themselves and their families. JF&CS offers resources that serve the community across the lifespan from infancy to end of life. Types of resources and support include but are not limited to financial assistance, mental health, case management, disability services, food insecurity, domestic abuse, aging support, and referrals to services. In addition to working with individuals and families, I work to facilitate meaningful and engaging programming for the communities I serve. Please reach out anytime. I would love to connect with you.
