ABOUT OUR SPEAKER
Ambassador Dore Gold, President of the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs, is at the forefront of the defense of Israel’s rights before the world community. He was the eleventh Permanent Representative of Israel to the United Nations (1997-1999) and served as Advisor to two Prime Ministers Benjamin Netanyahu and Ariel Sharon. Ambassador Gold, who is originally from Hartford, Connecticut, was invited by Brandeis University to respond in a public event to Justice Richard Goldstone, who led the UN Gaza Commission that charged Israel with war crimes in its handling of Operation Cast Lead in late 2008 and early 2009. The debate was the first time an Israeli confronted Goldstone directly with material that completely contradicted the charges he made against the State of Israel and undermined his main arguments. To date, Ambassador Gold is the only person to have personally confronted Justice Goldstone on the substance of his report.
ABOUT AIPAC
The Jewish state is under constant threat and relies on support from America in order to confront the challenges it faces. The best way to guarantee that the U.S. stands with Israel is through bipartisan support in Congress. AIPAC is focused exclusively on strengthening the U.S.-Israel relationship and works with both political parties to ensure that Democrats and Republicans come together to keep Israel safe.

Community Support Liaison, JF&CS
Hi, my name is Talia and I am a social worker from JF&CS, as well as a member here at Young Israel of Sharon. In my JF&CS role as Community Support Liaison, I work with synagogues to help connect their members with resources for themselves and their families. JF&CS offers resources that serve the community across the lifespan from infancy to end of life. Types of resources and support include but are not limited to financial assistance, mental health, case management, disability services, food insecurity, domestic abuse, aging support, and referrals to services. In addition to working with individuals and families, I work to facilitate meaningful and engaging programming for the communities I serve. Please reach out anytime. I would love to connect with you.
