Prayer for Our Soldiers

Please pray for all our soldiers currently engaged in Operation Protective Edge (Tzuk Eitan), for a safe return soon, be'ezrat Hashem,

This is the text of Psalm 121 ; please take a moment to offer up this silent prayer on behalf of all our men and women fighting a protective war in defense of the Jewish people: 

א  שִׁיר, לַמַּעֲלוֹת:

אֶשָּׂא עֵינַי, אֶל-הֶהָרִים--    מֵאַיִן, יָבֹא עֶזְרִי.

ב  עֶזְרִי, מֵעִם ה'    עֹשֵׂה, שָׁמַיִם וָאָרֶץ.

ג  אַל-יִתֵּן לַמּוֹט רַגְלֶךָ;    אַל-יָנוּם, שֹׁמְרֶךָ.

ד  הִנֵּה לֹא-יָנוּם, וְלֹא יִישָׁן--    שׁוֹמֵר, יִשְׂרָאֵל.

ה  ה' שֹׁמְרֶךָ;   ה' צִלְּךָ, עַל-יַד יְמִינֶךָ.

ו  יוֹמָם, הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ לֹא-יַכֶּכָּה;    וְיָרֵחַ בַּלָּיְלָה.

ז   ה' יִשְׁמָרְךָ מִכָּל-רָע:    יִשְׁמֹר, אֶת-נַפְשֶׁךָ.

ח  ה' יִשְׁמָר-צֵאתְךָ וּבוֹאֶךָ--    מֵעַתָּה, וְעַד-עוֹלָם.

1. A song of ascents. I raise my eyes upon the mountains; whence will come my help?

2. My help is from Hashem, Maker of heaven and earth.

3. He will not allow your foot to falter; your Guardian will not slumber. 

4. Behold, He neither slumbers not sleeps, the Guardian of Israel. 

5. Hashem is your Guardian; Hashem is your protective Shade at your right hand. 

6. By day the sun will not harm you, nor the moon by night. 

7. Hashem will protect you from every evil; He will guard your soul. 

8. Hashem will guard your departure and your arrival, from this time and forever.
